INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH

Thesis: Within The King James Bible: New Testament and Crime and punishment each display similarities with trusting in the Lord and Good will happen. From a moral and spiritual perspective, one could see how these historical pieces of literature relate.

FIRST BODY

John Chap 9 with Crime and Punishment Part 1 Chap 5: Compares Jesus healing a blind man to Sonya’s encouraging words to Raskolnikov regarding religion. They are both doing good for the Lord.

SECOND BODY

John Chapter 14 and Crime and Punishment Part 2 Chapter 5: Compares similar themes of inner conflicts and how believing in the lord can save one.

THIRD BODY

Romans Chapter 1 and Crime and Punishment Part 5 Chapter 1-2: Compares how the Romans emphasizes the importance of trusting God and how God sheds his goodness when one believes while in Crime and Punishment Luzhin blames himself for not getting enough presents to Dunya and her mother.
